Successful participants will be subsequently asked to provide the necessary personal and school history documentation and their files will be forwarded to the Czech Republic for the decision committee composed of representatives of the Ministry of Education, Ministry of Foreign Affairs and the Czech universities, etc., to make the final decision by April 30, 2014.
The successful finalists will learn their results during May 2014 and will be asked to apply for a long-term study visa at the Czech Embassy in Cairo, that is visa-wise responsible for the territory of Republic of Yemen. The expenses for the trip to Cairo are to be born by the applicants.
The granted scholarship will cover necessary costs related to the stay and study in the Czech Republic. Its amount is regularly amended. Currently, the amount paid to students of Bachelor, Master or follow-up Master’s study programmes stands at CZK 14,000 per month, whereas the amount paid to students of Doctoral study programmes stands at CZK 15,000 per month. The sum includes an amount designated for the payment of accommodation costs. Costs of accommodation, food and public transport are covered by scholarship holders under the same conditions that apply to the Czech students. Expenses for travelling to the Czech Republic and back to Yemen are paid by the party that has nominated the student to study in the Czech Republic or by the student at his/her own costs.
Before commencing their studies of a specific study programme at a Czech university, the winners will be also granted a scholarship for a one-year long preparatory (language and subject) programme at the Institute for Language and Preparatory Studies of the Charles University.
